Gloria Waterhouse bought the historic building to renovate in November, 2000. She was then approached by restaurateur Ian Wingate of Spokane about opening an innovative, fine-dining restaurant featuring French-Asian (fusion) cuisine.
Ian was awarded the position of Executive Chef for the newly-renovated Davenport Hotel soon after the Sand Creek Grill opened. His influience remains in some of the dishes on our menu today, such as the chipolte-glazed meatloaf.
